ITEMS WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF:
New computers!
School supplies: Sturdy backpacks, Spanish reading books (all ages), Crayola colored pencils and washable magic markers, ballpoint pens (blue, black, and red), pencils, glue sticks, children’s scissors
Spanish-language Reading books, all ages: Realizing that most of our students don’t have books to read either at home or in their schools, our good friend and dedicated volunteer Sarahi Uribe has compiled a Wish List for Education and Hope on amazon.com filled with reading books and other educational materials. To access the list, visit the amazon.com website, and select Wish List from the top of the page. On the top right corner of the next page you will see a box that offers to “Find a Wish List”. Type in Education and Hope and you will see the items on our list. The shipping address to our PO Box in Norwalk, CT is already programmed in for your convenience. Please email us to let us know that you have sent something from the list! We would also greatly appreciate suggestions of either books or learning tools (math manipulatives etc.) to add to our list.
Medicine: Children’s Advil or Tylenol, children’s decongestant cough medicine, chewable vitamins, Ensure (powder form), toothbrushes and toothpaste
Clothing: Children’s socks and underwear, children’s raincoats
Frequent Flyer Miles: Frequent fundraising trips back to the US from Guatemala put a strain on our budget. Please contact us at guatemalahope@optonline.net if you can donate frequent flyer miles on American, Delta, or Continental.
